Car Rental and Insurance Replacement FAQs

I just had an accident and I need a replacement vehicle. What do I do?

Call your insurance agent first. If you have rental reimbursement coverage, they will help you begin your claims process.

Do you have luxury cars available?

Yes. We offer exotic vehicles in certain locations
as well. Click here to experience our exotic collection.

What Does Rental Reimbursement Typically Cover?

Rental reimbursement coverage will help you pay for a rental car, but only if you need the rental car because of a covered loss. Depending on the other types of coverage you have on your vehicle, rental reimbursement coverage may also help you while your car is being repaired after non-accident-related damage. Refer to your own auto insurance policy for details on your coverage.

What Does Rental Reimbursement Typically Not Cover?

Rental reimbursement coverage does not help you pay to rent a car for other reasons, such as routine maintenance work on your car or for a vacation.

May I upgrade my car?

Yes. You have the option of upgrading your vehicle, but you will have to pay out of pocket for the difference.

Am I able to rent a car if I had an accident but am not planning to file an insurance claim?

Yes. We are able to offer you our lower insurance rates if you have documentation that you had an accident, are insured, and are not filing a claim. You would be able to take advantage of these lower rates. Normal rental qualifications will apply.

Will I need a deposit?

If the direct bill is set up, we will most likely ask only for a small deposit. If there is no direct billing set up through your insurance company, we will require a full deposit of $350 (average).

May I use a debit card or cash if there is no direct bill?

Yes, but that is dependent on the location of where you are renting and where you live. Branches accept cash and debit cards, but you must meet the renting location’s minimum qualifications to rent the car. In California, locations require a valid driver’s license, a deposit of $350 (in the form of cash, a money order or debit card), and verification of employment through a paycheck stub. A utility bill confirming your physical address is also required. If using a debit card, please remember that it will take 3 to 5 business days for your bank to refund the deposit.

Can I rent a car under the age of 25?

Yes, you may rent if you are between the ages of 18-20, but additional restrictions apply.

May I return my car to another office?

Yes, please refer to your rental office for rules.

What is your fuel policy?

You may return the car at the same level as you received it to avoid the refueling fee, or you may prepay by ¼ tank at the market price per gallon. Check with your local rental office for current pricing.

May I add drivers to the contract?

Yes. The additional driver must be present at the time of the rental with their driver’s license in order to be added to the rental contract. Daily charges may apply.
