One-Way Rental FAQs

Unlimited mileage is available for most car classes in the U.S. and Canada. Larger or Specialty vehicles (such as large passenger vans, large cargo vans, large SUVs or Exotic cars) come with limited mileage and an incremental cost of $0.10 - $0.25 for every additional mile/kilometer over the allowed limit. Start a reservation to see if your requested vehicle class comes with unlimited mileage or to see the allowed mileage for a Large or Specialty vehicle

Yes. The minimum age to rent a vehicle with Enterprise is 21 throughout the U.S., except in Michigan and New York where the minimum age to rent is 18. Any U.S. government employee can rent at 18 years of age but must show the rental location his or her official orders. Learn more about Government Rentals.

Enterprise accepts the following forms of payment:

To rent a car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the United States and Canada, you will need the following:

  • To be 25 years old (if you're under 25, you may be required to pay a young driver's fee, which varies by rental location)
  • A valid driver's license with a photo
  • A photo ID (For example: a driver's license or passport)
  • Credit or debit card (check the acceptable forms of payment at the location you're renting from)

A drop charge is a fee for picking up a rental car at one location and returning it to a different location. The rental car drop fee varies depending on location and time of year. If you have to pay a drop charge, it will be disclosed at the time of reservation.

The cost of optional car rental insurance and protection products can vary based on the type of vehicle you wish to rent and other factors. To get the most accurate pricing, start a car reservation below or call the Enterprise branch from which you wish to rent.
